\nAt 500 meters high, in the northeast side of the city of T\u00eergu Neam\u021b, on a terrace made in 1936, it was raised the Mountain Hunters Monument. <\/p>\n

The monument was inaugurated on the 29th of June 1939, on the event at which the Romanian king Carol II was present, the founder of the first battalion of mountain hunters, the prime-minister of Romania, Armand C\u0103linescu, generals and superior officers of the mountain hunters’ army corps.
\nThe construction is dedicated to the heroes of the T\u00eergu Neam\u021b Mountain Hunters Battalion, who died in the battles from Oituz, in the summer of 1917.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nThe structure has a plinth of 16 meters high and by its shape it suggests a watch tower. On the plinth there are two bas-reliefs made in bronze by the Romanian sculptor Theodor Burc\u0103.
\nOne of the bas-reliefs presents a winged woman dressed up in Romanian clothes, having a glaive at her hip, in movement, and in the outstretched right hand she holds a laurel wreath. She symbolizes Romania. <\/p>\n

The second bas-relief presents Romanian militaries launching into battle. On a superior step of the plinth there is a big eagle, made of bronze, heading towards west, just like the first battalion of mountain hunters left for the battlefield.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
